About The Park
Minamiuonuma skatepark was built in 2018 in Uonuma city, Niigata. This is the first concrete skatepark in Niigata prefecture and has 2,100㎡ huge ground with 8 sections. It’s one of the best skateparks in the Tohoku area. It has big and upper-level sections but they are placed nicely so even beginners can have fun skating here. The park is surrounded by forest and has a nice atmosphere.
Since this area snows a lot, the park is open only from Apr to the middle of Nov so be careful with that. When it’s in the season, you can use the park from 13:00 to 21:00. If you live in the prefecture, you can get a discount on the ticket.
You need to register beforehand at the city hall. The location is pretty far from the station so you might need to go there by car.

About The Sections
This park is fully made of concrete and has “a pool area”, “snake area”, “bowl area” and “street area”. Each section is connected so you can make many skate lines here. The pool and bowl are in big sizes so it might be hard for beginners but if you’re an upper-level skater, you can make some air tricks here.
I’d say this park is suitable for all levels of skaters.
