大東BMX・スケートボードエリア

About The Park

This is a public BMX and skateboard park that opened in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture on July 19, 2023. The park is located next to “Daito Ground” in the Kawagoe Masugata Industrial Park. It was built by utilizing a reservoir that stores water during rainy days. The park has a similar atmosphere to the popular “Kazusa Skate Park” and “Suginami BMX and Skateboard Area” in the same prefecture. However, with its floor area of approximately 5,000 square meters, it is the largest park in the prefecture and one of the largest in Japan. The park has a variety of sections made of concrete. Each section is large, allowing for dynamic riding. The park is not only for skateboarding, but also for BMX and inline skating. Visitors can enjoy a variety of urban sports. The park is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or 6:00 PM). It is closed during rainy days, when water remains after rain, for events, and during the New Year’s holidays. Use is free, but prior registration is required. Please refer to the official website for instructions. Helmets are required, so please do not forget to bring one. The opening of this new park is a welcome addition for locals. It has also drawn attention from people from all over the prefecture and outside the prefecture. The park was built with the aim of promoting urban sports. In the future, it is planned to hold events such as skateboarding classes to increase the number of participants in the sport. Let’s use the park carefully and respectfully, following the rules and manners, to promote the further development of the park and understanding of urban sports.
