About The Park

“This is an indoor/outdoor skatepark operated by Murasaki Sports, which opened in July 2023, just a short distance from Lalaport Tachikawa Tachibi in Tachikawa City, Tokyo. This is the latest Murasaki Park, newly established as a result of the relocation of the former ‘Murasaki Park Tokyo’ in Adachi Ward.

With an indoor area of approximately 1,700 square meters and an outdoor area of approximately 300 square meters, it is one of the largest indoor/outdoor skateparks in the Kanto region.

The park features a competition-spec street park-style course designed by experts, as well as a large 14-foot vertical ramp used in world championships, making it a high-quality facility that can also be used for competitions.

The outdoor area also includes a flat space and mini-sections, so even intermediate and beginner skaters can enjoy themselves.

Thanks to its sturdy concrete base, the park requires little maintenance and always offers excellent skating conditions. The main indoor area is fully air-conditioned, making it a comfortable space to skate year-round.

A large Murasaki Sports store is also located within the park, so you can easily purchase skateboards, BMX bikes, and other products. Equipment rentals are also available, making it easy for first-time visitors to try out the sport.

A grand opening reception party was held just before the official opening, and top Japanese skaters, including Tokyo Olympic medalists, performed impressive demonstration runs that excited the crowd.

Japan is now at the forefront of the global skateboarding scene, and it is hoped that this new park in the Kanto region will nurture future world-class athletes, further raise the level of skateboarding in Japan, and introduce more people to the excitement of action sports.”

Section List

About The Sections

The indoor area is designed in a street style format, featuring sections such as banks, ledges, rails, and stairs. The park has a stage bank and a quarter pipe for gaining speed, allowing for a continuous flow of skating, making it ideal for competitions and contests. The section sizes are not overly large, making them accessible for intermediate and beginner skaters.

The outdoor area is divided into two sections: a fun, easy-to-use area with a flat base and small sections and ramps, and an area with an impressive 14-foot tall vertical ramp. The entire surface is constructed with smooth concrete, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable skating experience even for extended periods.”
