GOOD SKATE PARK in Hyogo
Good Skatepark is called “g suke” by local skaters. This park is known as the home spot for “Yasutoko bros”, famous in-line skaters. So a lot of people know about this park thanks to that brothers. There’s a huge vertical ramp which you rarely see in Japan. (I tried it before, but it was too tall and I couldn’t make it lol) A lot of professional skaters, and BMX riders come to this park so you’d be able to see really high-level skating at this park. They offer skate schools to children to grow them as future professional skaters. They also have a skating area inside, so even in bad weather, you can skate here. they have a lot of competitions every year, so it’s like a core skate spot for west Japan skaters.
SB DUNK SKATE PlAZA in Tokyo
SB DUNK SKATE PlAZA is located in “Tokyo Sport Playground” designed by NIKE Japan. They made this park because there are fewer playgrounds in Tokyo compared to other major cities. The skatepark was named after the famous skate shoes “SB DUNK”. From beginners to advanced-level skaters can enjoy skating here. You can skate here for free, but you need to get a reservation to use it. Also, there are locker rooms and showers.
SENNAN LONG PARK in Osaka
Sennan Long park opened in 2020 and is the newest skatepark in Osaka. The park is inspired by California skateparks so you may feel like you’re in California when you skate here. The park is right next to Osaka bay, you can skate feeling the fresh winds. It has huge ground and is made out of clean and smooth concrete. Also, it’s good for beginners and experienced skaters.
SKIP FACTORY in Saitama
Skip Factory was opened in 2016 and is one of the biggest indoor skateparks in Japan. Local skaters had been wanting this park for so long and they were so happy when they got this park finally. This park is going to be used as a place to hold competitions in Japan. They offer skate school regularly to grow future professional skaters.
TOBUKI SPORTS PARK SKATE PARK in Tokyo
Nicknamed “Planet Park”, is the Japanese largest public skate park. A dedicated facility to enjoy 3 types of competition: Skateboard, Aggressive Inline Skating, and BMX. The varied landscape includes flat and uneven surfaces, banks, rails, and bowl-shaped sections. It is suitable for all levels of skaters from beginners to advanced skaters.
